I'm glad I came to search this fic and re-read it: I'd missed a ton of updates! It's coming along great, I love it...except for your twist with Inuyasha in this most recent chapter. It just really threw me for a loop that this is where it's ended for now...PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE update soon! The suspense of whether or not Inuyasha is going to make it back to Kagome, and whether or not she'll take him back, is killing me...and I only just finished reading this chapter! I'm sorry, I just really HATE cliffhangers...it drives me nuts. But this cliffhanger is the only problem I have with this fic.

I think you're a great author. This story is so well written and I love their character/personality. So consistent and real and believable. I love your style of writing, I wish you had more stories for me to read. . Please continue your muse and update! I will check back regularly.

After years of nothing.... UPDATE.
Oh god it was unbelievably thrilling to see Shrine Prostitute at the top of the list.
Please please please please keep it up. I saw the note about how you were not happy with the chapter, but it was pretty good to me.
You have no idea how this made my day... or how many times I've reread this. Not just the new chapter, but the older ones, picking up on the subtle differences.

Yay! You're alive! And you've updated! And Inuyasha is also still alive! - although I never ever thought you'd be wicked enough to kill him off. I realistically feared that maybe he'd get caught and returned to the shrine, so I'm glad that hasn't happened. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad that you're still around and still working on this story! It's gotten to the point where life goes on for myself in between updates; I can no longer wait with baited breath for the next chapter, or I would've keeled over long before now, LOL. Nevertheless, every time I do see an update appear my happiness can be likened only to that of a child spying Santa Claus out their bedroom window on Christmas Eve. I would have reviewed over on mediaminer, as I always had before, but a few months ago their latest glitch rendered users unable to post reviews, and this has yet to be repaired. So just FYI, you won't be getting any reviews for this fabulous story on that site, but DO still update over there as well because I am positive I cannot be the only MM-reading loyal follower of yours who mentally squeals for joy at the sight of this story being updated. And in regard to the update itself, loved it, of course. So glad to see Miroku show up and help out as he's doing. I'm kind of on the fence about how I should feel about Inuyasha running away. On the one hand, I do remember that he's kind of borderline in denial of Kagome's love for him, and he has NO idea about her work with other hanyou now. He'd kind of put her in her place once, and she'd deserved it, that he wasn't a charity case, that if she really wanted to make a difference then she should really try to make a difference, practice what she preaches, etc. In real life, Gandhi said you have to be the change you want to see in the world. So she's done right by him, her work now is her legacy, and his. But on the other hand, him running off like he's done, not even coming to say goodbye? Did it not occur to him that she would be upset? Does he figure her 'silly crush' will go away? Or did he more simply and logically fear capture by the shrine or somebody else if he dared to meet up with her first? He probably just had to run and keep on running and not look back; can't honestly fault him his fight or flight instinct in that regard. If I were in Kagome's place, supposing he ever showed up one day, I'd be angry with him for the sake of being angry with him for like twenty minutes maybe, and then I'd throw myself at him crying tears of joy, LOL. And now that he's not having such a picnic anymore, maybe he will indeed be making an appearance? A gilded cage is still a cage, it's true, but when they also provide you with food and water in that cage, and nobody is trying to kill you... Whatever you decide to do in your next update, and whenever the hell that update gets posted, I will definitely be glad to see it. :-)

Was starting to think this story was abandoned till I noticed the update on Fanfiction a little while ago. It's great to have you back and the long chapter was certainly an ever nicer surprise! I loved seeing Miroku officially become part of the cause! It's just a shame that Inu and Kag aren't together, it was sad to see Kagome so depressed, but I guess it was also necessary for Inu to have some time away as well! Not only has he begun honing his skills and instincts, but he's also had a taste of what it's like to live on his own, so now he'll never have to wonder what it would have been like. He seems to have already realized that though he's now free, it's also a lonely and potentially dangerous existence, especially for a hayou. He may not necessarily decide to make his way back to Kagome just yet, but ya never know, maybe he'll hear talk about the hanyou shrine/school and check it out, whether or not he realizes that he'll be heading towards Kagome's home it should definitely be interesting to see his reaction! I know you said you didn't care for the chapter too much, but I thought it was pretty well done regardless and I'll especially be looking forward to your next update!

Hooray!!! I am so glad you updated. It was wonderful to see Miroku show back up and I love his interactions with everyone so far. I am interested to see what back story you have concocted for him that we are unaware of at this time. Obviously there is much more to him and his life than meets the eye.
All that said, I can see why this chapter was making you so crazy. You are bringing in more details for later, but with so much happening at the moment, it did make things feel a bit choppy. However, I can tell there is a definite need for the little bit of forward momentum the chapter made. There was an obvious need to address what Inuyasha is up to, but at this point things are much more about what is happening at the shrine.
I am looking forward to seeing what you have in store. Keep up the great work!!

Noticed that you've edited your story. It would be great if you continued it. It's a very original and complex story and I always wondered where you had planned to take it.
