I am so glad I read this story. There is so much story and characterization packed into this relatively short one-shot it is unbelievable. First of all, your writing is beautiful from the word usage to the sentence structure to the thought going into each statement. Sure, you have pretty detailed characters to start with thanks to the respective creators of Inuyasha and Rurouni Kenshin, however, you took Sango to a level she has never been experienced in the anime. She was still strong and herself, but you could also tell she had the wisdom, quirks, and hangups that come part and parcel with immortality. I enjoyed the comparison she made of Kenshin to Kohaku. I've always loved both those characters because of their extremely tragic, violent pasts juxtaposed with such sweet, caring personalities.

I also enjoyed the details of your story. The way you explained Inuyasha's aging was sad, but very real feeling. His dialouge was flawless in the way that it was obvious to everyone that his senses were on the decline, but he still refused to admit to it. And yet he still turned the battle over to Sango instead of headstrongly rushing into the unknown. That showed that he had matured over the many years he had lived. He was such a small part of this story, and yet at the end at the mention of his dying just before Kagome was born I found myself getting choked up over it, which shows just how much life you breathed into his involvement in the one-shot.

Also, in the lemon I enjoyed the fact that Sango flipped Kenshin over to be the dominate party. The Sango in the anime was always a little shy and inexperienced when it came to things of a sexual nature. Sure, she could kill a demon with the best of them; her father had seen to that. But who did she have to teach her about men? Eventually it was Miroku and you can imagine bearing his children she learned some of his hentai ways. So I found that entirely appropriate and a nice touch.

And thus ends a marathon review, but after you put so much care into the story it seemed only fair.

Well... the first one is Kenshin, but I have no idea who the second one is... sorry. I loved your fanfic though. I mean, you pieced everything to fit so well. Nice job.

Ok... well... the first one is Kenshin, and I'm almost sure the second one is Kurama. This fic was amazing. You explained everything so... well. You know what would've been weird though... if Kenshin was a descendant from the little fox demon, Shippo... Oh... wait a minute... was that what you inferred when Sango said perhaps Kenshin was a demon's descendant? If so... wow. You really thought this through, didn't you? It was just... perfect.

So sad, Inuyasha nearly made it. This is an awesome One-Shot.
Nice twist with Kurama (it's him, isn't it?) being a descendant of Sango and Kenshin!
