Ah yes, the bridge between event 1 and event 2. We see Kagome suffering, something I usually like, but find myself depressed for her in this sense. We see the realization of what Naraku did to her set in, and then she attacks herself. Self destruction has never been so hard to watch, poor girl. I seriously hope this ends with some retribution on her part, she sure as hell earned that much.
No Inuyasha stupidity this time round, thank God. Hopefully Miroku is smacking some sense into that foolish hero. And what's this now?! Kagura is going to drag Kagome back to the arms of the person who raped her. Considering she offered to kill Kagome, mercifully quick, than let her be destroyed by Naraku is kind of distressing. Oh well, she is an enemy, and that is what the bad guys and gals do.
And then, once again, I have arrived back with Kikyo...the stem of this whole mess. I bet she's sitting happily knowing that Kagome's suffering.
Well, I can't wait for more, and that's a serious statement there. Your writing is nothing short of masterwork, and while there may have been the odd spelling error (something I was not paying direct attention too) it didn't effect in the slighest the motion and flow of the chapter. Poor Kagome though, and that's saying something.

very awesome story! I really like how you are portraying Kagome and Naraku. You arn't disilluding your reviewers into believing that they are purely good or evil, rather you are showing us a very human side of Naraku, making him vulnerable, and desirous of the same things that we seek like love, and acceptance; Kagome we see is human too, not this ethrally perfect miko. She has very real fears, and like the rest of us, has learned there is a time to love and a time to hate. I found it very realistic how you started off the story wih Kagome being a substitute for Kikyo in Naraku's eyes, instead of some N/K stories where he wants her for her, and now he has come to CRAVE Kagome because of who she is and for her differences from Kikyo. I am loving this story! I hope you plan to write more this much more angst which you are so good at!

Whoa...emotionally striking, stunning descriptions, the ever so noticable applications of cause and effect. This is an awesome piece of writing. Just a marvelous demonstration of literal talent. Now, with the very detailed entrance into this review out of the way, allow me a moment to degrade into an idiot.
YAH STUPID GAWDDAMNED DOG-FACED HANYOU MORON!!!! *Smacks Inuyasha with a 2x4 across the skull*
Right, had to get that out of the way. First things first, I ought to congratulate you on effectively making me actually care about what happened to that annoying bimbo AKA Kagome. I won't lie, I hate her. There is only one other person in that series I hate more...and that would be the failure main character that could seriously use a blunt force trauma to the side of his head. But you actually made me care about what happens and happened to her, a feat defintely worth praising you about. I sure as hell hope Kagome can score some vengeance on Naraku for this ordeal... And I mean the kind that causes nightmares that never leave.
Oh yes...I forgot about the other bimbo I hate...Kikyo. Miss Miserable and Clay herself. Why can't she leave Kagome alone and go back to her pitiful existence of harvesting souls to just barely survive. ...Wait a sec... *Looks back at sentence, stunned.* Sweet Jesus...I'm protecting Kagome... Well...if Hell was ever meant to freeze, it sure as...well hell, did now.
And was it just me, or did Miroku seem to have a very somber personality almost instantly upon seeing Kagome. Don't get me wrong, aside from the assheaded fool of a Hanyou, it isn't hard to tell what happened...but Miroku just got...dark. Hell...down right dark if you ask me. Could our favorite lil monk possibly have had something similar happened to a loved one before hand...or is it something a whole world more...unlikable let's say. Or am I just being a paranoid freak, and being very analytical about something that is probably meaningless, other than to show a serious side to the rarely serious monk, and prove that while dogs are mans best friend, they are also as smart as lead paint chips.
Either way, here's a standing ovation for you good sir. You managed to make me, a proud Anti-Kagome member, care about her existence for once. Bravo!, Bravo!

wow inu yasha must be stupid to not understand. and Miroku is right, inu yasha DID fail her, in more ways then one. I mean Kagome traded spots with Kikyou, and when Kikyou come back she wants to kill her. "well she must be some weird person, trying to kill someone that save them....
good luck
may kami-sama be with you
