This chapter was just brilliant, and I like how you described both Kagome's state of mind and Kuronue's rationale for her hypocrisy.

I think Kagome in some part of her mind separates her 'modern' life with the life that she has down the well. And a part of her is not yet comfortable with the fact that they are merging together. The Inuyasha episode AdultSwim showed on Tuesday was a very good example of this. In the 'Battle in the Forest of Sorrow' episode, it shows that Kagomes truest fear is Naraku coming through the well to her time, and she is the only one that knows that they are all in grave danger. She tries to convince everyone else to run away from the miasma, but no one listens to her. It gets pretty deep.

So I think that in Kagome's mind, while it's perfectly okay for demons to behave like demons in the Fuedal Era, her mind cannot yet handle them doing so in her own time which has up to now been her sanctuary and escape. So, when Youko acted the way he did with Hojo, she was caught completely off guard.

The whole encounter definately adds to the tension between the two, however.

Whew, I'm finally caught up! I don't read this story for two days (since I have been ill with the flu...and trying to do so many things at once *coughing fit*) and I come back and see this! Twelve chapters to read! Twelve freaking chapters! @_@ I have a headache now.
Per usual, I have my questions...*ahem* When Youko comes back into place, will Kagome tick him off and he gets all seductive on her...or for Youko's "punishment", will Kagome *laughing* I can't go on! I got a mental picture of Kagome in a leather catsuit with a bondage whip! *laughs* Woo-boy! I think that would be hilarious...Kagome's night job as a dom! Aah, I crack myself up! *steeples fingers* I have a suggestion! Why not pair Kuronue with Hiei?! *claps hands* That would be...wow...*starry eyed* Woooooow *drool drips from open mouth* *blinks* *nudges with elbow* So Hojo's ol' Scarface now...all he needs is a tacky black and white pinstripe suit! >__< Oh, and I do like how you did stay true to Kuwabara's personality, even though his scenes are minimal. Don't you hate when people hate when you injure a character? Seriously! You could have killed Hojo off, but you didn't (and I praise you for your self-control)..yet, some upstart starts to flame you on your 'rudeness blahfrickenblah'. To hell I say! To HELL shall the flamers go to be reaquainted with their snippety attitudes... They can shove their comments where the sun don't shine, for all I care! *snorts through nose like a bull*
Back to the story, hm? I fear that I shall wilt like a carnation in the winter if you don't add some godforsaken lemons SOON! Ahhhhh! I'm so anxious to see what type of situation our dear little Kagome and her big bad...well...fox will be in! *claps hands* I'm so giddy! Tee hee! Maybe a closet! Or in Makai! Or in front of an audience! Or in a movie theater! On the kitchen table maybe? *snorts* Boy, I bet your going to make Kagome into an 'outdoorsy' girl, if you catch my drift *wink wink*

nice chapter...I can understand about Hojo being a lose string besides you can easily 'remove' them if you know what I mean. Yes give Hojo to Naraku, he will have 'fun' with him :D. Anyway, Im going to be sending a copy of my story your way, to see if you like it and add anything I missed(is that ok?)

Okay. There is no way that Kagome would easily forgive Youko for the permanent facial scarring thing. Regardless of his ridiculous little school boy crush and obsession, Hojo's first act was to try to protect Kagome. Warning or not, he'd have no way of knowing about the existance of demons, and he reacted exactly how I would have expected anyone who cared about her to react, by trying to get him out of there. To me, it just seems unnecessarily harsh. Plus, a reaction like that would land Youko in some serious trouble with Koenma. To me, this whole chapter just seems like it's just an excuse to bash Hojo around because you personaly don't like him, and it doesn't advance the plot at all. If anyone is going to get knocked around, at least make it the bad guys.

LOL, yeah, Naraku is definately a hottie in an evil, twisted sort of way.

Sometimes the villians are sexier than the good guys. Hey, have you ever considered doing a 'dark kagome' fic? I think she could pair up well with Itsuki (who's all heartbroken after the whole Sensui arc.) or some other YYH bad-guy-hottie, or even (gasp!) Naraku. and then you can send the YYH boys in to try to bring her down. :)

All these bunnies run rampant in my head, and they just have to go somewhere, so I'm sorry I just can't help it if they decide to jump your way from time to time LOL. ;)

Interesting chapter. Poor Hojo... he's so very dense. I don't think you should kill him off, it would be 'overkill' (okay, bad choice of words, I admit.), and being an idiot doesn't in my book qualify him for death. Now, if he turned all villiany like in your other story, that would be a different case. But if you add an arc like that, you could probably kiss goodbye to the under 50 chapters thing! Personally, I think that you wrapped up the Hojo thing quite nicely here, but I think Kagome is going to be pretty pissed off with Youko though for cutting the boy.

Is it me ? I just love the interaction between Hiei and Kuronue? I would love it read a spin-off story with the two of them on an adventure of some kind. Keep up the great work. Oh ya, when do you sleep?;)

I'm soooo sorry about the last review!!!! It was soooo mean!!!! I just get really defensive when the subject is about Sessy!!!! But thank you anyway for saying it's OK to be stared at (Autumn Norris and Yoko-Sesshoumaru are the same person!)!!! Update soon!!!! Yay! Kurama and Kagome had a little fight! It's finally showing how stubborn Kagome is! Yay!

I'm sad that Kurama scarred Hojo's face. I think that was a bit harsh. I realize how dense he is concerning Kag's feelings towards him, yet, I think a good beating would have sufficed, then Hiei would proceed to wipe his memories, leaving only the warning to stay away from Kag. I can only imagine what will happen if the group runs into Koga. If there is a choice between killing Koga or Hojo then I vote for Hojo to die. Please don't kill off Koga, just send him to me, K ^_~ Perhaps you don't even plan on bringing Koga in, which is fine. At least I'll know he's safe, LOL. I hope you know that I'm just playing with you. I could care less what happens to Hojo, hehehe. I do care what happens to my wolf boy, though. Damn, what I want to do to that demon. Awe, shit. I'm babbling again, sorry. ^_^ Can't wait to find out what happens next. Oh, I got an idea. How about hooking Kuronue up with Botan? Do you really think you're going to finish this under 50 chapters? I think not, LOL. Good luck. How about a little Yusuke/Keiko lemon or Kuronue/Botan lemon. I'm such a perv, sorry again! ^_^;

LOL - loved this chappie! I laughed through most of it. The poor "boys" are starting to figure out just how strong kagome is. I'm sure you have more fun planned with this. Liked that you had the guys watching like that, not that they would miss it for the world! With that kind of entertainment you almost expect popcornand a few bets on the outcome! Can't wait for the reality check you have planned for Naraku. Welcome to th 21st century dude!
