Good chapter, only complaints I have is that it's too short & it's a cliffie. 8P In this sentence [below] from chapter 7 you should probably add what where I put the <>s since it doesn't really read right as is;

'By Kami, <> is with wrong me? I do not even know that woman!'

And naturally the marks didn't appear so this time I'll just write it in CAPS where it should go; 'By Kami, WHAT is with wrong me? I do not even know that woman!'

That's a good idea to include a bit of mental confusion etc when Kagome discovers Kenshin's full 'pedigree'. Have you ever heard the song "I'm My Own Grandpa" ? If you haven't you should really Google for the lirics since they're pretty funny. Phil Harris who did the voice of Baloo the bear in the original Jungle Book as well as Thomas O'Malley in the Aristocats [both Disney animated movies] did a version of it & it's interesting listening to it.

I'm really enjoying this & can hardly wait for the next chapter to see what Kenshin's reaction is when he wakes up. Some of the elements of this remind me of that old song about the guy being his own grandpa, which Kenshin kinda now is since he mated his 'grandmother' Kagome.

Awww darling I'm so sorry you were sick *hands you some chicken tortilla soup* I hope you feel better soon. I am so freaking in love with this story I'm reading it again at 3:51 in the morning before I sign off I love this story so much. I just got started watching Kenshin on cartoon network so fanficts are the only way I know this mostly but you are making me fall in love with Kenshin even harder than I thought! LOL. I REALLY can't wait for poor Kenshin's POV on this I'm sensing a citrusy flashbacks here.^_^ This story is getting so good thank you so much for the frequent updates I was dying during that dry spell I'm so nuts for this story.

Diane: Yeah, yeah, I know. I thought about the squick factor while planning this out, and the best I was able to justify it to myself was that in my story Kagome only takes care of Shippo for roughly 3 years out of his 400+ years of life. Enough to make a solid and strong connection, but not long enough for them to view each other as family in the trueist sense of the word. He calls her 'mother' as an endearment, just as she calls him 'son'. Kenshin, on the other hand, she has only seen as an adult; he's a stranger to her in any way, and born over a century before her. So, yeah, the interpersonals are kinda wierd. I was considering writing a small passage of head trauma in for Kagome over the relationships, but I think I'll wait until she finds out that not only is her new mate the son of Shippo, but also the son of Rin. ~evil grin~

Now THAT I think might freak her out a bit.
