Oh...Miroku sure got away with a lot in ths chapter! But, as always, he's such the diplomat! Very good job with Miroku's characterization, by the way. In most IY/Kag fics, authors don't develop or take the time to really make use of the dynamic with the other characters in the Iyu-tachi, but Miroku played a very strong supporting role in this one, much akin to what I would expect of his canon in the anime- well done! Poor Inu-baby! Phenomenal job with the inner turmoil, youkai vs hanyou interal angst, and the potrayal of the two sides of his personna. However....his youka has spoken, his hanyou half rebuffs, but there hasn't been a peep from the human half... will that be coming out more in the new moon night chapter(s)? It's always been a distinction that he is of 3 minds- not just 2... or is it because his youkai is so dominant right now that it is suppressing the weaker human side? You mention that he could almost feel Kagome's presence- is that going to be developed into a truth, as her aura being able to span the gap of time when he needs her, or is it his imagination and inner defences at work?
Oh, and Kikyo and Naraku...Trully, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned....

Ahem ::clears throat nervously:: I'm finally taking a look ::ducks as a tomato flies over from Argentina::
First off, the part that you added was PERFECT... I love how you keep giving Kagura such personality and flavor. You're making me like her character more and more -y'know that I'm usually only Inu-Kag centric! I thought the entire scene with Kikyo and Naraku was terrific - how you had Naraku taunting Kikyo with images of Inu snogging Kags by the tree. And the way Naraku rubbed the fact that Inu went to Kags right after seeing Kikyo at the river was perfectly heartless...totally Naraku style. I suppose the only suspension of disbelief comes with the idea that a lusty Kikyo is so hell bent on erasing Kagome's importance to Inuyasha that she is willing to make a deal with her enemy, Naraku. But of course, this only justifies us hating her even more!
I don't think of this as a filler chapter as all. There are many serious issues to be dealt with in the aftermath of youkai Yasha becoming free. I think you did a wonderful job with exploring the villagers' reactions to Inuyasha after the rampage. After all, they have pretty much adopted the half demon as their village protector, even though for the most part humans don't trust youkai. For Yasha to suddenly threaten them, undermines a lot of goodwill towards him. And yet, for the most part they are still willing to trust him... And then there are Yasha's companions...they too are still willing to trust Inuyasha even though he's purposely keeping them in the dark about what's going on with him.
Of course, the saddest part of this all is how Inuyasha still can't accept the different parts of himself. How he keeps referring to his demon side as if it's a completely separate being... But now with his human night approaching, I think some exciting developments are on the way, ne?
Again...terrific writing! I love the way you convey so much emotion...can really get behind the characters' reactions. Looking foward to more....more...more.. :)

Poor Inu, he has to do manual labor in his weak human form. Shippou seems to be getting more mature by the minute. I am sorry that this review might not be as good as the others, but I am totally stressed about my fic, considering my friend who was to help write the lemon is now mad at me. *i can be such a baka sometimes* and I have returned inu for now.......*evil grin*. Sorry I didn't review earlier, but I have had so much work to do, that I just now finished reading this chap. Great work as always, and I am definately gonna have to check out BtS SOON! Thanks as always for mentioning me in your AN's! luv you girl.....and if I get a chance soon, I will try to send you the rough draft of my fic.
