i have enjoyed this story thoroughly, your stories are always entertaining. one thing, however, commas are not your friends. a simple rule of thumb is: use a comma where there is a NATURAL pause. the word 'and' is a conjunction so there is no need to put a comma in front of it; to do so is redundant. still, i have argued that point with others and we have been able to provide rules on both sides to support our opposing arguments. isn't enlish fun? and there is really no logic to it: it is such a bastardized language. not only that, but english differs from country to country, Canada, US, Britain, Australia, etc... anyway, i would go with what simplifies writing; your purpose being to communicate your ideas, not demonstrate your expertise in english grammar; you can leave that for language dorks like me.
