Took u long enough, please update the next chapter sooner. And i have an idea why don't you make the princess of the latter chapters that was going to marry a prince from the other country to strengten their bond, Rin.Also you can make her madly in love with sesshomaru, ut sesshomare loves another. You can make that a side story for dog skin, but if it will take your time of the original i rater you forget this review and finish this story.

Oh my freakin' crap. I am in LOVE with this amazing fic. I remember seeing an anime rendition of the Grimm Fairytale "The Coat of Many Colors" on Nickelodeon when I was a wee little brat, and I'm utterly astounded at the complexity you've managed to weave into the tale, not to mention the disturbing undercurrents. It's darkly compelling, but still contains a glimmer of hope because of Inuyasha and Kagome's budding relationship/friendship/soon-to-be-smutt fest (oh, woops, did I type that last part out loud? My bad.) I'll be honest, I haven't read every chapter because I'm about to fall asleep on my keyboard (and said exhaustion has NOTHING to do with your writing ability; quite the contrary, I'm holding my eyes open with toothpicks trying to read every last word. And yes, they hurt.) but I DID get far enough to find out Inu sees her at the feast and is severely reminded of Kikyo. That's not to be impede anything like it does in canon, is it? DRAT! Well, who am I to complain? You've re-envisioned this story, making it your own with your subtle plot developments and entangled character relationships. I am just in love! Please continue this soon! It's abso-freakin'-lutely wonderful!

ok a couple questions :
1. when is kagome going to trust someone enough to tell them who she is and what she's going through?
2. is inuyasha's nose broken? because sesshomaru knows who kagome is dosent he?
3. if inuyasha was to take kagome to his bed (really) her father wouldnt be able to take her right? i mean she would be inu's mate wouldnt she?

I just wanted to tell you that the characters all seem themselves and they fit their roles very well. Miroku reporting to Sesshoumaru is a very, very good plot device. It ties two different groups of characters, together, I think. Does that make sense? It ties the human in with the youkai lords, in a way.

Naraku fits his part perfectly, but I think you have a lot of room to work with Kagome and Inuyasha. I think you would get atleast a very interesting and not necessarily brooding (irritating) chapter out of a purely mental reflection by Kagome on the struggle with her self-hatred. It's coming through a little more now, in the later chapters, which makes sense as she would probably try to put her mind to other things and block out the experience being in a new place with all new people. Maybe I'm just a pessimist though and I prefer angst to everything working out fairly quickly. I could see Kagome pulling way the fuck back from Inuyasha at this point just due to self hatred.

You're thinking, alright, shutup now.. I just wanted to let you know that I don't often find writers I like on this website (or in life in general) but I do very much like the flow and sentence structure you use. NERDALERT

Through the IY Fan Guild, I discovered "Dog Skin". I can understand how this story has won so many accolades. It is an excellent story with great descriptive paragraphs (not overly descriptive!) and good characterizations. I especially like how you have made the characters speak with realism (no shouting or talking like a "valley girl" in high school) -- after all, there are many teenagers who do speak standard English without resorting to posturing or posing. I also love AU stories, which have unique storylines which this one does.

There were a few minor grammatical errors, but that can always be cleaned up later. Please continue to update and write more stories.
