Look at you still receiving fan mail after all of the years! ;P I just finished up this story, having found it in the dusty recesses of the SessXKag archives. I really enjoyed this small arc within the larger storyline. It was steamy, well-written, and the characterizations were great; I even eventually accepted Sesshomaru's endearment evolution as potentially plausible. Ha! I adminhat I struggled with how simple-minded Kagome was throughout, but really had to remind myself that she was 15, which could justify her slowness in drawing what felt like straight forward conclusions, at times. Overall, I really loved your work and it's clear you spent a great deal of time and dedication on it. Like many others, I wish there were more, but as a stand alone - fantastic! Best wishes ~
Enjoying this story, thanks for sharing this adventure and your hard work.I would add that the human egg is viable for more like 24 hours, on top of that human sperm can live in the female for a *minimum* of 72 hours (5 days!). Amazingly, some studies have shown 10+ days (frightening, if your looking to avoid pregnancy)!Anyway, safer to assume there is a more of a risk of pregnancy than not. Google is your friend, tho always take the internet with a grain of salt. Check out something like WebMD and there is a neat article at The-Scientist.com called Widening the Fertile Window by Robert Martin on July 1, 2013. I'll admit I'd expect Kagome too at least think about it, being a modern girl and all. Hell, bopping around in the feudal era like that, I'd likely take medical precautions just out of concern of rape. Inuyasha does his best, but Kagome has been in enough scrapes to realize the bad guys get her in their clutches enough for the opportunity to be there. And it doesn't have to take a lot of time for a dude to get himself off... But I do like it when Kagome sets a mature and responsible example. Personally, I shy away from young pregnancy, while different in the feudal era due to life expectancy, in modern concerns it's is unnecessary and should be a personal choice. Also, it's certainly something Kagome does NOT need while traipsing about feudal Japan, constantly facing enemy yokai and Naraku. My usual thoughts about why she doesn't get pregnant is that it's not in the story line (yet or at all). The author and muse has control of that, not me or Mother Nature.Plus, who knows how demon sperm works. Though, with Sesshoumaru, I'd be willing to run some tests...
So this is my fourth or fifth time reading Passion. I absolutely love this story, and I have to say, it is my favorite sesshomaru/kagome story of all time. That being said, have you started working on Passion part two, or will you be getting to it soon. I have been waiting since this story first ended many years ago. As I said, I love this story and would love to read more about sesshomaru and kagome's life together and see what happens next. I greatly look forward to hearing from you, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Zero :D
The actual budding romance would have been nice if it was further elaborated on instead of simple carnal moments, but over all the story is good. Some imagery is lacking in some parts, and some characters do not appear, but generally fairly good. Wanted to clarify some facts. First Sesshoumaru while several centuries old, is said to be 19 human years in maturation. Now most importantly, a human female is NOT fertile for only 4 hours. A woman is fertile for a period of around 12-24 hours in which an ovum is released and makes its way to the uterus. Occassionally more than one ovum is released in which the time frame would be increased to 48 just to be safe. Now male sperm can live inside a woman's body for an average of 2-5 days. Conception may occur if sperm was released within 2-5 days before ovulation or 2-3 days after ovulation. Thus, if intercourse occurs there are truly 4 days minimum in a month in which pregnancy can occur and a 10 days maximum in which pregancy may occur with an average of six days in which pregancy may occur (since sperm on average lives 3 days).
Um, i know its been like 2yrs since you finished this story. AND this story is the reason why I started to write fanfictions myself. I just had a fleeting thought about this story and i looked it up. I just spent a whole sunday reading this story from start to finish. you are a wonderful writer. When i write my stories you are what i strive to be. Each sentence, word brings out so much emotion that it leaves me exhausted. I envy your skills. So when i noticed that you have not written a Passion2 yet i grew sad. Much like me, who hasn't written any more chapters, you have not continued on this story. I know my plea falls on deaf ears. And i know that you have a life that you need to live. But if you have a few seconds please type some thing down. a small chapter that says that maybe, just maybe you are considering continuing you wonderful writing. That would make my day to know that you have not given up on your beautiful gift, writing.
