That was quite good chapter. It answers my doubts about Moon Priests and their powers.
Surely, they believe in their holy mission to rid the world of youkai , and they behave like medieval inquisitors they are, even if their deeds are unethical from our point of view.
I can't wait for some good action chapter, it would be beneficial to publish it before voting in IY Fanguild starts.

Finally, there is a chapter with a good fight !
I like your characterisation of Arc, previous chapters were not so interesting, but they were necessary for Arc's character development.
As I understand, Moon Priests have similiar puryfying powers to Kagome's powers.
I think that the ability to emit puryfying energy is a inherited trait, and it is not necessary to be good or noble, or even religious to do that.
Simply, kids able to use these powers were chosen to be moon priests or monks or mikos, and they were trained to kill youkai.
Jei the Phantom Blade is somewhat cliche, tessaiga is a phantom blade too !
I can't wait to read about some real swords fight !
