Well, I hope Ayumi's father stays in prison this time.
As for contraceptives, the most popular would be the condom. According to a book I read on Japan's culture, they feel a little threatened at the thought of women being able to control being able to be pregnant or not so condoms are really pushed. But women can have abortions. At shrines (or was it temples?) I saw an area where there were all these little statues of a man a robes (not Buddah, but similar looks with the bald head aig eig ear lobes) that were identical to each other, some of them had a babies bib tied around it or had a baby's stocking hat on them. What I later found out by reading the book was that they were Jizo(?) statues. These statues were put up by those who might have been mothers but either they had a miscarriage, or had the child aborted. The statues are to show that they were sad that it happened and that they hope to see them again (meaning that next time they are pregnant that the aborted child's spirit would come back to be born.)

This is so cuteee, I love it, but I think that Kagome isn't as much herself in your story as in the show, but it's pretty damn close... so close its scary ^.^ Keep at it
