I will admit that I did find parts of the story a bit disturbing to my western sensibilities, but none the less, you did the research and have written a well thought out story. Good job. It was enjoyable.

In my one history class, my professor gave me a wonderful little set of things to remember while doing research. One of then that makes me notice some of what you've been stating is "The source is right - unless it's wrong. You must have a reason for rejecting one source in favor of another" Simply stated, what you read is correct and true, unless you have a justified and logical reason for dismissing it. Anyway, I have throughly enjoyed your writing!! And I really enjoyed this approach to eastern child rearing... All you see in several thousand Inu-Yasha stories are pretty much western child rearing (by both of them, Ironically) in the Waring States Period... Somehow, I think that would make them an outcast for not doing it the proper way.

Wow Jeff, I must say tho thoroughly impressed. I never even considered those concepts occuring within Kagome's family. And the differences between the past and now it is truly mind boggling...makes you wonder what type of society we live in now. Great job! I look forward to reading the next chapter.

See you next time;

omg Jeffs another wonderfull Chapter..soo full of stuff I had no clue about..I really enjoy those things about your stories they are fanfics but much more and you can actually learn something by reading them and still enjoy the story as well..although thinking that Mrs H actually thought about Sota that way was a bit odd, but going with the story line not too odd..great talk between them would love to see Inu's reaction if Kagome began to let Shippo breast feed and wonder if Kags ever did that with Inu and Shippo wanted to join in, would be strange but I think it would be a wonderfull read as most of your stories are..I love em...hope to read an update soon much huggles and smiles a fan and friend Mija..:-)

I like your story so far - don't see topics like this addressed in fan fiction all that often. I have to say that the continual misspelling of Kaede's name is very distracting, though. I noticed it in your other fics, too. Sorry to pick on such a small thing. It's just that I notice these things, and every time I see "Keade" it pulls me back out of the story, which is a shame because it's an interesting fic. Other than that, good job!

This a combination of reviews for both Motherhood, and Spring Fertility Festival.
Although I find these stories to be rather interesting, I find that I cannot commit my personal feelings to enjoy them overall. The ivemevement of gods in the plot was just not to my liking. Also I fouagomagome's unwillingness to be marked by Inuyasha to be rather disrespectful. I mean she'll do a striptease in front of a whole village, but she won't go along with a sacred youkai custom. Lastly, I refuse to forgive Keade for putting the Inu-gumi through all that transpired.

In regards to Motherhood, I found it to be a bit odd. I felt exetremely awful in the midsts of reading what Kagome's mother had gone through.

I wanted to make a suggestion. Perhaps, if you want to, you could make a spin-off which deals with youkai customs and traditions.
