A 5'5" hazel eyed brunette in a General's uniform is pacing back
and forth in front of a desk with her hands clasped tightly behind
her back. She impatientosseosses her head, throwing her just past
shoulder length hair back over her shoulders.
An aide rushes into the office and salutes. "At ease, Corperal. What
news?" she asks curtly.
The aide clears his throat nervously. "Well, Ma'am, there has not yet
been an update of 'A Bet With In A Deal'. We have, however, found
many other stories you can use to entertain yourself with, Ma'am."
She glares coldly at the poor, poor man. "Did I ask for updates on other
stories Corperal?"
He stutters, "N-n-no ma'am."
She turns her back on the hapless aide. "That's right. dismissed," she
waves him away. And he wastes no time in leaving the General to her
solitude.
She sighs despondently. "Is it too much to ask to get more of a good thing?
Oh, well. I guess I'll just have to look at it as an exercise in patience. I've been
told it's a virtue."
